Perfect Weather for a Picnic!

One of my favorite things about summer is being able to eat outside and enjoy the weather!

Yesterday, the heat of the sun, the summer breeze, and the blue sky was too perfect today to not have a picnic! So, we made pizza rolls, mac n cheese, brought chips and left over birthday cake and headed to a local garden to celebrate the first week out of school!

We set up shop by the little lake, Cason turned on the "Easy Listening" Pandora station, and then we turned on the camera! Another reason I'm excited for summer is the chance to have time to take the photos I want and edit them as well! It's going to be one crafty summer! Also, I've convinced Cason to take photography next year so to give him a head start I let him be the photographer! It's nice to be on the other side of the camera sometimes :)

 

 It ended up getting a bit toasty in the sun so we moved to the gazebo! And Cason took my OOTD photos! First OOTD for the summer :D

Past Few Months in 1 Post. Ready. Set. Go!

Here's a little catch up game I'd like to call 5 months in 1 post! Let's see how this goes:

January:

- was asked out the day after Christmas and spent a lot of my vacation with him

- went on a mini-vacation to Frenchlick for a weekend

February:

- first Valentine's day with a boyfriend!

- busy with competition rehearsal with Ambassadors

March:

- I TURNED 17! one more year left before I'm an adult!

- Ambassadors (the top show choir of my school that I'm in) went to 3 competitions and...WON ALL THREE! We had an undefeated season and we are now ranked 4th in the nation!

April:

- spent Spring Break weekend in Chicago

- rehearsal for Tarzan began to pick up

May:

- Prom night!

- Tarzan opened!

- Ambassadors 2012-2013 ended!

- Junior year is done!

Phew! Well that was fun!

So now you guys now why I've been an absentee in the blog world lately! But I'm back now!

My Dad is Now the Big 5-0!

Today is my daddy's 50th birthday!!! Or as he likes to call it the "25th anniversary to his 25th birthday!" Considering he was born in the Philippines his birthday was technically yesterday so we had a big party at the house! And today we went to Biaggi's for a birthday dinner! Yay food! Because in a Filipino house hold it's not a party unless there's drinks, music and food...sooo much food!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that my dad's now 50, my mom will be 50 next year, my brothers are almost in their mid twenties, and in three years I'll be 20! Time has gone by so fast!

Oh yeah! And as my birthday gift for my dad I gave a little performance for them all! If I find a video I'll share it with you all :)

That's what my weekend has been filled with! Food, Family, and Fun!

Of Monster and Men Concert! - First Day of Summer

So...how would I describe the perfect first day of summer?

I would say getting a free sandwich at chik-fil-a followed by a long board ride to Matt the Millers with my boyfriend to get a free flat bread. Then, long boarding back to make my flower crown. Afterwards I would say get freezes at Taco Bell for a dollar then head downtown to walk around and shop. Then, after a while we would go to the Of Monsters and Men concert. To end the night we would go to Broadripple to get cookies! 

And guess what! That's exactly what happened :) It was definitely the perfect way to start off the summer before my senior year of high school!

So that was my Thursday night!
