The Weekend

By the time Friday rolled around the NepHouse was in full swing! Our weekend was packed with parties and get togethers. With all the parties going on here we're starting to call it the Gatsby House haha! So many parties!

Friday: my brothers had a party with the kids they mentor at the high school robotics team.

Saturday: We hosted the first party of Ambassadors 2013-2014! It so weird to think that I'm going into my senior year of high school! Where did the time go?! So to kick off my last year as an Ambassador and to start the special bonds Ambassadors had I was more than gladly to host the party! We set up the photo booth, prepped the backyard with a plethora of games, filled up water balloons and had the times of our lives! It was four hours of complete partying and it was so much fun!

 

Sunday: We slept in and finished cleaning up from the past two parties! Took the day to rest and recover then went to daddy's father's day choice dinner, Joe's Crab Shack! It was delicious and I was stuffed!

Monday: Cason came home! We spend the day together and just enjoyed each other's company after being a week apart! It was nice being with him again :)

So that was my weekend! I hope yours was just as enjoyable!

200th Post!

I can't believe it! Have I really posted about myself to everyone 200 times? I didn't even know I was interesting enough to make 200 posts about my life! It's amazing what a blog will bring out of you though! Through this blog I've really grown as a person. I've found more confidence in my writing and photography and this blog has also helped me decide what I want to do in my life! I never thought 200 posts later that this blog would be this big part of my life! I'm so glad it is!

Past Few Months in 1 Post. Ready. Set. Go!

Here's a little catch up game I'd like to call 5 months in 1 post! Let's see how this goes:

January:

- was asked out the day after Christmas and spent a lot of my vacation with him

- went on a mini-vacation to Frenchlick for a weekend

February:

- first Valentine's day with a boyfriend!

- busy with competition rehearsal with Ambassadors

March:

- I TURNED 17! one more year left before I'm an adult!

- Ambassadors (the top show choir of my school that I'm in) went to 3 competitions and...WON ALL THREE! We had an undefeated season and we are now ranked 4th in the nation!

April:

- spent Spring Break weekend in Chicago

- rehearsal for Tarzan began to pick up

May:

- Prom night!

- Tarzan opened!

- Ambassadors 2012-2013 ended!

- Junior year is done!

Phew! Well that was fun!

So now you guys now why I've been an absentee in the blog world lately! But I'm back now!

Life is a Cabaret!

I've realized that I talk a lot about how much singing is a part of my life and about how busy my life is because of it but I've never shown you guys a video of me singing a solo piece...or singing at all I think haha...so here's a video of this cabaret that my choir did to raise money! And being such broadway baby I sang this show piece!

I think it's weird how you guys will know what my voice sounds like now haha...but whatevs :) Hope you guys enjoy!

Let's Play Catch Up!

So Junior year is a killer! This past month (being the last weeks of the first grading period) my school work was cranked up like 10 notches! I've been drowning in school work, finishing up getting my new room organized, and show choir...so getting on my blog was sadly sent to the back of my mind for a while. I thought I had it down by planning out a calendar for myself and everything but it's kind of difficult to post the posts if you haven't even written them yet...sooooo in conclusion I have a better plan for myself and I will (try my best) post more frequently again and hopefully without these awkward long breaks in between...So for now let's play catch up!

 I got to go to the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros concert! It was completely amazing! Getting to see one of my all time favorite bands was perfect and my company made it all the more better!

Had my first choir concert as a Ambassador!

Then, I had my homecoming! I ended up splitting up my time and going with two different groups of friends which was easier then I expected it to be and a lot of fun!

So those are just the biggest things that's happened lately! Thanks for not unfollowing me so far guys! I will definitely get this sorted out now :)

Ambassadors 2012-13 Debut

Yesterday I told you guys that this past Thursday the Ambassadors had their debut performance at my school's open house! We sang "Let Me Be Your Star" and "Ain't That A Kick in the Head" for the parents and PTO! It was so much fun and it was amazing to finally be able to perform under the name of Ambassadors! My partner ended up coming late so I didn't have a partner for the performance but it's okay because you know what they say "The Show Must Go On!" Over all it was an amazing night!

Workin' at the Car Wash!

Did anyone start singing the song in your head? I know I did haha! I was also singing it all of Saturday when I spent the day working at the Ambassadors Car Wash fundraiser! The day was filled with a lot of singing, dancing, and water fights...tons and tons of water fights! It started at 9a.m. and went til 4p.m. It was a long but fun day and we ended up raising over $4,000! I did end up getting a little sun burnt but oh well! It was all worth it :)
