Strawberries, Bags, and Flowers

So good news! Thanks to my friends and photography teacher I'm becoming more known and I'm starting to get hired! Also, I got a job at Panera so now I'm officially a working girl! School and Ambassadors are in full gear and slowly everything seems to be coming into place! This past weekend I shot an assignment for photography class and got to use Cason as a model (side note: thanks for suffering through it, love) and used a self timer (yay self timers!!!) to get some cool shots with me and him! They turned out amazing and I'm so excited to start printing, matting and hanging them up! My most difficult task now is to pick which ones!

Senior Sessions: Emily

Sharmaine Ruth Photography

Most teens spend their Friday nights out and about but last night was not that case for me. Last night I started working on making my photography business more 'official' by creating my own website and having a separate, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook Page. It was a tedious but exciting two and half hours last night setting up the website to my liking! So if you want to check it out yourself you can go do sharmaineruthphotos.wix.com/photography ! Underwater

What I love about summer is the endless opportunities of adventure and doing new things! And with those new things comes photo opportunities! Which is what Cason and I did last week! We bought a disposable underwater camera, went to the pool, took pretty awesome photos, sent them to be printed and now we have it! I love having a boyfriend who puts up with photos both being in them and taking them. And it's fun to have someone who understands what I see in my head and can put it in the photos (aka the first photo of the group) He's turning into a great photographer :) So these are our underwater shoots!

Projector Project

And a day later I've finished! From 120 photos down to 67 and editing them in a span of less than 24 hours! I can feel myself breathe a little better! I absolutely love editing but when there's 67 photos it just feels like such a relief when they're all finished and published!

This photo shoot is a concept I've done before for my photography class that I wanted to expand on and decided to finally do! Who knew projectors could be so much fun!

Sneak Peek!: Projector Series

Boy does it feel good to direct a photo shoot again! Here's a sneak peek of the most recent photo shoot I did...like I literally just did it about 45 min ago! I'll be spending a while editing but I'm so excited to finish it so I can show you all!
