A Sentimental Moment

So tomorrow I start my senior year of high school! It's crazy to think of how far I've come and how after this year I'll be going off to college and starting a new stage of my life! And then I look back on the past 3 years I've spent at the school. And how the first two years were spent being an awkward outgoing kinda chubby girl who wasn't completely comfortable with herself and the past year was spent coming to conclusion of who I am and what I wanted to become and embracing my awkwardness and using it to my advantage. And now with a better taste in style, change of attitude, new dreams, and about 20lbs lighter here I am! finally who freshman me dreamed of being and, more importantly, finally someone I am completely comfortable being.

I can't wait for the adventures to come this year! From going to football games, taking people's senior photos, going to Europe, and having  my senior prom, this year is going to be full of amazing memories! I'm planning on recording big moments of this year to see the journey I've been on and having something to look back on! Kinda a little documentary thingy to work on!

And of course with every new year comes goals! And here are a few of mine:
- Follow through with the documentary
- Make myself more known for my photography
- Get college credit for the college courses I'm taking
- Score high on my SAT
- Get accepted to BSU
- Actually finish writing one of my books
- Get nominated for Prom Court (hopefully)

I hope you all have a great day! And if you're starting school again what are some of your goals?!

Underwater

What I love about summer is the endless opportunities of adventure and doing new things! And with those new things comes photo opportunities! Which is what Cason and I did last week! We bought a disposable underwater camera, went to the pool, took pretty awesome photos, sent them to be printed and now we have it! I love having a boyfriend who puts up with photos both being in them and taking them. And it's fun to have someone who understands what I see in my head and can put it in the photos (aka the first photo of the group) He's turning into a great photographer :) So these are our underwater shoots!
Hope you all enjoyed the photos!
Wouldn't you love to get an underwater digital camera?! That would be amazing!
Have a great day everyone!

Asian Style Chicken Wings: Recipe

Lately all I've been looking up online are healthy recipes that I can make my family because one 1) I want to get better at cooking just in general and 2) I want to take over the kitchen and get my family on a health kick! So, by only cooking a portion size for each person and nothing more and using healthy recipes we can get healthy as a family and enjoy delicious homemade food at the same time! Plus, being the youngest in the family it's nice to feel like you have responsibility.

So, last night I made Asian-Style Chicken Wings which I found on the Whole Foods Market website. But because I didn't have all the ingredients so I substituted some things and didn't quite follow the instructions exactly...but my goodness they still tasted amazing!

Ingredients:
Canola spray oil
3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 onion, sliced
5 chicken wings/person
Preheat the oven to 400F. Make sure you thaw your chicken before hand (because I didn't haha) Mix together your salt, garlic, lemon juice, brown sugar, and hoisin sauce in a large bowl. Get trays ready and spray them with the canola spray oil. Toss your chicken in the sauce and place them on the tray, put slices of onion on top of the chicken wings then pour any extra sauce over it.
After 30 mins in the over flip them over once. Then leave them in there for another 30-45 min. I had a lot of left over onions so I decided to make a little extra sauce and sautee them too add on top of the chicken! It turned out to be a really great idea!
Put a cup of rice on your plate and add your chicken and sauteed onion and there you have it! Your delicious Asian-Style chicken wings! It's as easy as that! Do you like how I tried to plate it all fancy-like?
So there you have it! My first healthy recipe!
If you know any other great recipes I'd love to know!
Hope you all have great days :)

Bucket List: Places To Visit

I think one of my favorite things about blogging would have to be finding out about random and interesting places! I don't know how many nights I've spent staying up just discovering different places that I hope one day I can roadtrip to and visit! So, here are some places that are on my bucket list to visit sometime in my life...that's in USA at least...!
If there are any other places that you know of I'd love to know! My list just keeps on growing!
Have an adventurous day everyone!

A Little Romance

If any of you follow my Twitter or Instagram you'll know just how hectic the day was for me yesterday. I literally was in front of a hot stove all day haha! From cooking to decorating I spent the day preparing for me and Cason's romantic summer pinterest-like dinner date! The menu you may ask? Well I made cheesy spicy garlic bread for the entree, salmon pasta salad for the main course, and cappuccino mouse for dessert!
I improvised with the table and chairs by scavenging around my garage and taking old milk holders and putting a pillow on the top as a cushion since the table was too high for any normal chair. Then I made candle holders out of a mason jar, tea cup, and a little sauce bowl! The banners were easier to make then I thought they would be! They just took a lot of time to cut, hole punch, and string on. So, I set up, Cason brought me beautiful flowers, and the night was perfect!
What I Wore:
Red Moda Wedges ~ DSW
Well that was my yesterday! Busy during the day but so worth it at night!
I absolutely love doing these cute romantic things! Haha I swear it's from all the books I read and write!
What about you guys? Are you ones for the romance?
Hope you all have a lovely day!
